ইন্ডিয়ান অয়েলের চেয়ারম্যান শ্রী এস এম বৈদ্য ওয়ার্ল্ড এলপিজি অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের (ডাব্লিউএলপিজিএ) সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন। দুবাইতে চলতি ওয়ার্ল্ড এলপিজি ফোরাম-২০২১ –এর সভার তিনি সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হন।
ডাব্লিউএলপিজিএ-এর সদর দফতর হলো প্যারিসে। ১২৫টিরও বেশি দেশে এই সংস্থা কাজ করে থাকে। এখানে ৩০০ জনেরও বেশি সদস্য রয়েছেন। এই সংস্থার প্রাথমিক লক্ষ্যই হলো এলপিজি-র জন্য যথাযথ চাহিদা পূরণের মাধ্যমে এক্ষেত্রে মূল্য সংযোজনের সঙ্গে নিরাপত্তার দিকটিকে তুলে ধরা। ডাব্লিউএলপিজিএ-এর পরিচালন পর্ষদ পরিচালিত হয় শিল্প সংস্থা এবং বোর্ড অফ ডিরেক্টর-এর মাধ্যমে।
ডাব্লিউএলপিজিএ পরিচালন পর্ষদে একজন সভাপতি, একজন প্রথম সহ সভাপতি, একজন কোষাধ্যক্ষ, তিনজন সহ সভাপতি এবং ৫ জন অন্যান্য সদস্য থাকেন। ইন্ডিয়ান অয়েল ওয়ার্ল্ড এলপিজি অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের একটি – ‘এ’ শ্রেণীভুক্ত সদস্য সংস্থা।
